Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the construction of the Vertical Pump 2 Rehabilitation project, located at the East Branch Pumping Station on the West Abutment of the Stamford Hurricane Barrier, located in Stamford, Connecticut. The NAICS code for the work described below is 237990. The project is planned to be issued in July, 2018, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a quote to be considered by the New England District. East Branch Pumping Station on the West Abutment of the Stamford Hurricane Barrier, located in Stamford, Connecticut. The work will require installation of Government Furnished shaft and impeller in Pump 2 located in the East Branch Pumping Station of the Stamford Hurricane Barrier in Stamford, Connecticut. The work would include pre-rehabilitation field testing, removal of the existing impeller and shaft, cleaning the existing pump housing, installation of the new impeller and shaft, reassembly of the pump, reinstalling the pump and testing the pump. Contractors should be aware that a significant fall hazard exists for this project. Please note this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about 08 AUG 2018. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov).
