- N00164-18-S-NB89 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT - HAND HELD IMAGER MINI LONG RANGE DEVICE - FSC 5855 - NAICS 334510 Issue Date: 24 July 2018 - Closing Date: 7 August 2018 This solicitation is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/. MARKET SURVEY - RFI/SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: The Government is issuing this RFI/sources sought announcement as part of a market survey. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division is seeking information from industry regarding a Bluetooth V4.2 dongle wireless communications capability which provides complete interoperability and interfacing (software/hardware/mounting) with the currently fielded AN/PAS-33 miniaturized long range reconnaissance thermal imaging system. This Bluetooth V4.2 dongle will provide the Operator with an increased capability of wireless communication transmission. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) would like to procure the Bluetooth V4.2 dongle in order to provide the Operator with an increased capability of wireless communication transmission with the Hand Held Imager - Mini Long Range - HHI-MLR that is already fielded by USSOCOM. NSWC Crane is interested in receiving feedback from industry against the attached Statement of Work. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to submit a White Paper with the information listed, but not limited to, below: White Paper •Questions/Concerns about the Statement of Work - no page limit •Capability of production system as it relates to the Statement of Work - 15 page limit •Procurement Cost Estimates with lead times for availability Submission Guidelines Submissions may be sent by any government or non-governmental entity including commercial firms, non-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education with degree-granting programs in science and/or engineering (universities), or by consortia comprising such concerns. Offerors should submit the white papers electronically prior to 2:00 p.m. on 7 August 2018. Submittals after this date will still be accepted. White papers may be submitted any time prior to expiration of this announcement. Responses from Small and Small Disadvantaged Business firms are highly encouraged. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business, a socially and economically disadvantaged business, 8(a) firms, historically black colleges or universities, and minority institutions.
