- Description
- The following question/clarification request has been asked by industry: Q: The dimension issue relates to drawing number 4111AS2001, page 6, for the image of component number 8, nomenclature PLATE, SIDE SUPPORT. Per the images, there are four holes with markup indicating that they are threaded holes. Based on the assembly, it appears that to accept the screws, these would be.500 x 13 threaded holes, but other than the one through hole, there is no indication for thread depth, other than they need to be deep enough to accept their portion of the 1.5" screw. As this is part of the testing fixture, I understand that it may not be overly critical, however with the stress the fixture will be under, I would like to ensure that the part is built as designed to ensure test conformity. A: All holes on F/N 8 should be.500-13UNC-2B with.75 min thread depth IAW FED-STD-H28/2. Also F/N 7 is 1.00 Thick STK.
