This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is being reposted to correct the NAICS code used on the initial posting (36C24218Q9491) dated 07-03-18 from 334510 -- Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing to 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 2, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to Spacelabs Healthcare, LLC for the purchase of an upgrade to its Spacelabs ETCo2 Capnography monitoring equipment using VA s National Acquisition Contract# V797D-40190. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract. Place of Performance: Department of Veteran Affairs Syracuse VA Medical Center 800 Irving Avenue Syracuse, NY 13210 The requested items are being sought for purchase under NAICS Code 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotations. Interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NO LATER THAN Thursday, 07-27-2018 by 4:30PM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required equipment. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are NOT acceptable and WILL NOT be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 3624218Q9738 - Notice of Intent. If after 07-27, 2018 no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall award directly to Spacelabs Healthcare, LLC for the required upgrade to its Spacelabs ETCo2 Capnography monitoring equipment. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted. A determination by the Government whether to compete its proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
