- The Special Projects Branch of the Seattle District contracting division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (hereinafter Seattle District or Special Projects Branch) plans to solicit an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the award of a Single Contract for a project entitled "Repair Wash Racks" on Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), Washington. Solicitation number W912DW18B0014 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov, on or about 6 August 2018. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB, with bids due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date on or about 6 September 2018. The Government will not honor telephonic requests for the solicitation. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the FedBizOpps website, http://www.fbo.gov/. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract. Period of Performance: 180 calendar days Description of Work (Physical Characteristics) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Special Projects Branch Contracting Office, located at JBLM, WA, the contractor will be responsible for providing all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials and perform all work in strict accordance with the contract drawings, the Statement of Work, and specifications to provide repair of three multi-vehicle wash rack facilities located on JBLM that are to be used for cleaning military vehicles returning from the field. The wash racks contain hose mounted sprayers, pumps, lighting and water reclamation facilities. The scope of this project will be to conduct a comprehensive repair of all systems to include but not limited to: Repair and refurbish pump houses, refurbish control building including control panel, cleaning of retention pond, cleaning and upgrading of equalization basin, cleaning and upgrading of equalization basin, upgrading of oil/water separator system, replacement of site signage, rebuilding of concrete island systems, refurbishment of filter pumps, addition of water-point, addition of POL dump station, addition of oil/water separator, addition of 500 gallon waste oil storage tan, and supporting infrastructure upgrades.
