- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement. The objective of this contract is to provide a vessel, support, and services to capture shortspine thornyhead and Pacific sleep shark using bottom longline gear. Sharks will be processed at-sea off the side of the vessel and shortspine thornyhead will be kept on-board in insulated totes and transported back to Auke Bay, Juneau. Vessel must be capable of longlining in Southeast Alaska and quote to include fuel. Period of performance is for 1 day between August 15, 2018 and September 30, 2018 and 4 days between June 15, 2019 and September 30, 2019. The Option period is up to 5 days between June 15, 2019 and September 30, 2019. See attached Statement of Work. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation has been issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued immediately. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $150,000.00. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation and resultant award.
