- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement. The objective is to contract a Facilities Operations Technician for equipment maintenance assistance at the Auke Bay Laboratories facilities in Juneau and Little Port Walter on South Baranoff Island. The successful contractor will be expected to provide general equipment maintenance for facilities operations and repairs. Position will involve operation of government vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment. •The successful contractor's key personnel must have documented previous experience performing general labor related to the specific tasks listed above. •The successful contractor will be required to maintain their own cell phone service at their expense. •The successful contractor's key personnel will have a valid State of Alaska driver's license prior to commencing work under this contract. •Contractor must be able to provide 3 references if requested. See attached Statement of Work. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation has been issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued immediately. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $150,000.00. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation and resultant award.
