- Description
- NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather an RFI to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. Description The United States Air Force Munitions Sustainment Division is seeking sources for the NI PCI-6025E DAQ Board (NSN: 5998-01-574-2630) which provides sensor and high-voltage measurement capability to electronic systems, specifically the Paveway TTU-595 test set. The US Government (USG) has been notified the NI PCI-6025E board will be obsolete within the year and will no longer be available for future production. A substitute part exists, however, changing the test set design to utilize the substitute part will require significant redesign and requalification of the test set software, a change to test set configuration, and numerous field changes. Due to an upcoming Test Set procurement, changing to a substitute part will not be possible at this time. The USG is interested in reasonable sources that will continue to produce these boards or can support a life-time buy. RFI 1. Company info: provide name and cage code 2. If you intend to propose on this requirement, would you propose as a prime or a subcontractor? 3. Do you currently have the capability to manufacture the part listed? 4. What experience do you have manufacturing or repairing the following part or similar items? 5. Would your company be able to manufacture the boards over a sustained period (6 yrs) or support a onetime, life-time buy of boards? 6. What quality control measures do you currently have in place (ISO 9000 or equivalent quality management system)? 7. Are you currently registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR), Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), and the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)? 8. What suggestions, if any, do you have for procuring these boards? 9. How much do you anticipate the cost per board to be if procurement quantities are 80-150 assets? Disclaimer This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. This FedBizOpps notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the supplies/services as described herein. The Munitions Division is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources to facilitate decision making. However, respondents submitting business information pursuant to this RFI should be familiar with the regulations concerning the release of such information to third parties under the Freedom of Information Act. All information submitted by respondents that they consider confidential/proprietary and not releasable to third parties outside of the DoD, and its employees, agents, consultant, and representatives, must be clearly and conspicuously so marked. Contact Information RFI responses are to be in report format not to exceed twenty (20) pages. A page is defined as each face of a sheet of paper containing information. Page size shall be 8.5 x 11 inches and printed on one side. The text shall be Times New Roman and font size shall be no less than 12 point font and lines shall be singled spaced. Use at least 1 inch margins on the top, bottom and side. Foldout pages are not allowed. For tables, charts, graphs and figures, the text shall be no smaller than 10 point. Respondents to this RFI are to provide their report no later than 17 August 2018 to Contracting Officer, Kellee Grose, via email at kellee.grose@us.af.mil.
