- Department of Veterans Affairs James J Peters VA Medical Center 526-18-4-636-0984 Background Engineering Service (138) is committed and proudly serves the VA, Bronx Campus, providing the best possible environment for health care to veterans and the highest standards of service to customers. We do this by improving and maintaining our physical structures and by providing the equipment, supplies, testing and preventive maintenance necessary to support excellence in health care. We are in need of replacing our two main Backflow valves on the water supply entering Building 100. We had our annual Backflow Device test and both Backflow valves failed. The contractor tried to order repair parts for our valves but could not get the parts making replacement necessary The procurement described herein is required to achieve the objectives as follow: Objectives The purpose of this solicitation is to replace the backflow devices in Building 100 Place of Performance Department of Veterans Affairs James J Peters VA Medical Center 130 West Kingsbridge Rd. Bronx NY 10468 Scope of Work Isolate existing backflow prevention device #1 for building 100. Provide continuous uninterrupted water supply during the repair. Remove top defective six inch (6 ) Backflow prevention device. Replace with one new six inch (6 ) Conbraco 4ALF-20C-03 Turn water supply back on for building 100 and perform backflow test. Isolate existing backflow prevention device #2 for building 100. Provide continuous uninterrupted water supply during the repair. Remove top defective six inch (6 ) Backflow prevention device. Replace with one new six inch (6 ) Conbraco 4ALF-20C-03. Turn water supply back on for building 100 and perform backflow test.
