- AMENDMENT 002 Documents - Amend Attachment IV SOW & RFI Responses AMEMDMENT 002 The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) Extend the quote due date to 07/24/2018 by 2:00 PM EST. 2) Provide an amended Attachment IV - Statement of Work 3) Provide responses to the request for information. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged and in full effect. AMENDMENT 001 A site visit will be conducted for this solicitation. Attendees must register by 4:00 PM EST on July 10, 2018. Date : Monday, July 16, 2018 Time : 2:00 PM EST Location : National Institute of Standards and Technology 100 Bureau Drive Building 302 Gaithersburg, MD 20899 Go to https://www.nist.gov/about-nist/visit/campus-access-and-security for additional information regarding campus access. ------------- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. Simplified acquisition procedures will be utilized. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is in the final stages of constructing a Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP). While the construction is in its final stages NIST needs to maintain operation of the main plant while the Government receives training to operate the new CHP. The objective of this contract is to obtain a contractor who can provide qualified stationary engineers to operate boilers and gas steam turbines. The minimum experience to meet the qualifications are two (2) years of independent operation as a stationary engineer, as demonstrated in their resume and reference checks.
