Description: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is not a request for proposals. A solicitation will not be issued at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), on behalf of: VA Cooperative Studies Program, Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center, 2401 Centre Avenue, SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 has a requirement for Brand Name: Thermofisher capper/decapper, and handheld capper/decapper. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price contract. The below reflect background and part numbers of the equipment to be delivered. The VA s Million Veteran Program s (MVP) lead biorepository is located in Boston and the CRPCC is now identified as the backup site and needs to perform sample storage processing procedures. The samples are stored in vials and are susceptible to damage if mishandled during processing. The use of Capper/Decapper equipment reduces the amount of time a sample is exposed and is more efficient than trying to screw on/off vial caps by hand. SCOPE This requirement is for a BRAND NAME/MODEL 4111MAT Thermo Scientific Capit-All Screw Cap Tube Capper/Decapper and a BRAND NAME/MODEL 4105MAT Thermo Scientific 8-Channel Screw Cap Decapper. These models are compatible with other equipment being used by the Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center. It is anticipated that a Request for Quotes will be issued on or about July 26, 2018. Award of a firm fixed price contract is contemplated on or about August 3, 2018. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside, or, full & open competition. It is recommended that SDVOSB and VOSB interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. Prior to any award, a vendor/contractor must be vendorized. Such forms required for vendorization will be included in any solicitation resulting from this sources sought notice.
