- Description
- Notice of Intent In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1(c), the Federal Bureau of Investigation Service, Information Technology Acquisition Unit (ITAU) intend to purchase the CaseCracker Onyx Systems (CCO). The CCO system is needed for the proper functioning of the FBI's Interview Room Management Systems (IRMs). The CCO is the only system fully compatible with the FBI's IRMS system. The FBI has made investment into the design and integration of the CCO system into the existing the IRMS infrastructure. Through the use of engineering services, CCO enhancements were developed and tested through field trials resulting in an a IRMS and CCO system. CCO is a mature product and requires little effort by the government for interoperability with other systems currently in use and is on track for future integration with FBI specific programs such as Sentinel and Insight. The system is based around a "headless" server, which performs recording, secure hashing, indexing, storage, encryption and streaming. This eliminates the need to install a client on the local machine. All cameras, mics, switches etc., connect to the server over a private IP network. CCO has become the FBI standard for interview evidence collection. The continued use of CCO nationwide will enhance the ability of agents to efficiently perform interviews while working at any nationwide office. The use of one standard system increases the quality of evidence and greatly reduces the training burden. Introducing any other system would cause undue burden and loss of fidelity across field operations potentially compromising investigations Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Montarious Usher, email address: mrusher2@fbi.gov by Friday July 20, 2018 (9:00 am Eastern). Emailed responses will only be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government
