- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make the appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their Small Business Administration (SBA) size classification in relation to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541990. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 is seeking a source to perform an onsite fire extinguisher certification and inspection (include hydro test dry) services. Contractor shall provide annual Inspection of portable fire extinguishers to include miscellaneous vehicles, replaces tags and seals. Perform maintenance and hydrostatic testing of CO2 and Halon extinguishers. Contractor shall inform the COR or designee of any discrepancies as they are identified in writing using VA inspection documents. Annual Certification of Fire Extinguishers in accordance with the most current version of NFPA 10 Recharge, discharge fire extinguishers Any fire extinguisher that does not pass inspection shall be exchanged with a Government owned operation like fire extinguisher from a local storage area and annotated on the inspection checklist. Contractor shall replace fire extinguishers if the need arises. The Contractor shall complete a checklist documentation of inspection provided by the program office. The Contractor and/or staff shall have current State of California certification to conduct the inspections The Contractor shall complete this task in accordance with the most current version of NFPA 10. All interested parties who can provide these portable fire extinguisher certification and inspection services shall provide a written response to this notice and include the following: Company name, Address, Point of contact, Phone, fax, and email, DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax ID Number, Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business [NOTE: If you are a SDVOSB or VOSB, you must submit your certification from the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/)], Provide a copy of your company s current Representations and Certifications from www.sam.gov, Provide evidence your firm can provide the requested service, to include past and/or current contracts for the same services; licenses / certifications required to perform this particular service; and any other compelling evidence to help the Government determine your company s capabilities; and If possible, provide an estimate cost for this service. All responses must be received no later than July 18, 2018, 3:30 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) via email. Important information: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
