- Description
- In addition to thermoelectric power generation technologies, static power generation technologies that meet the requirements will also be considered. NASA, other interested Government agencies, federally funded research and development centers, as well as support contractors working on behalf of the Government (i.e. JPL, APL, etc.) may not submit a response. Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the Management and Operating Contractor of the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) for the Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center (GRC), releases this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for capabilities, ideas and information that could lead to a potential industry/Government contract for development of a vacuum rated Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator (RTG) system to support science missions. It is the intent of the BEA and GRC to use this information for market research and program planning purposes, with the goal of promoting competition where possible. A registration form and the draft agenda for the NG-RTG TIM are posted with this notice. The Sources Sought Notice (SSN) respondents and interested parties are encouraged to complete and submit the NG-RTG TIM registration form by July 16, 2018. The purpose of the TIM is to share NASA's plans across the community as well as foster an exchange of technical capabilities within the community. The government believes a multi-discipline, multi-organizational, team will be required to answer the current SSN and any potential future solicitation. This TIM is meant to foster discussions amongst the community to that end. The agenda for the NG-RTG TIM includes a review of Government plans, offers SSN respondents and other NG-RTG TIM attendees time to present non-proprietary information to the community, and provides time for individual Government to industry discussions (one on one discussions). A table for poster board presentations will be provided. Box lunch order forms will be provided to registrants at a later date. If you plan to attend remotely (through webex) please indicate this on the registration form. Additional information related to this SSN and the NG-RTG TIM event will be posted on FedBizOpps, as it becomes available. Next-Generation RTG Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) Details • NG-RTG TIM registration forms Due: July 16, 2018 (note: The registration form should list all people attending from your company. If any attendees are foreign nationals, please provide their name, date of birth, and country of origin to Steve Gihring in a separate email by July 12, 2018. If necessary, a separate form can be submitted for each attendee from your company, or a separate list can be provided in the comment section of the form.) • Submit NG-RTG TIM registration forms to: Steve Gihring • NG-RTG TIM event date: July 24, 2018 • NG-RTG TIM Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. • NG-RTG TIM Location: Ohio Aerospace Institute, 22800 Cedar Point Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44142. • NG-RTG final TIM agenda will be posted to FedBizOpps after the registration forms are submitted.
