Description

The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Air Power Services, Inc. The requirement is for the purchase and installation for replacement of #2 Fan Motor in the High Pressure Air Cooling Tower at NDSTC Panama City, FL. Air Power Services, Inc. is the only source that can provide this requirement because they are the only authorized service provider in the southeast region for Mako Compressors. Only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts are authorized and requested service must be completed by an authorized Mako technician. The use of non-OEM parts or unauthorized service technicians will void NAVSEA OOC system certification and immediately stop dive training at Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) until corrective action is taken and re-certification is completed by NAVSEA OOC. This corrective process can take up to six (6) months and would affect approximately 750 students.
