- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BNYM18B00000001 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Lead/Asbestos Removal MTA Building adjacent to the Metropolitan Correctional Center located at 150 Park Row, New York, NY 10007. The anticipated performance period for the project will be 253 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project: Lead/Asbestos Removal - MTA Building The project is for the cleaning, abatement and disposal of all lead, asbestos, and PCB contained within the former MTA building. The work shall include all surfaces, painted coatings, and building components contained therein. This includes the egress doors and enclosures. The contractor will remove and abate all equipment and materials within the former MTA building. All persons will be trained, knowledgeable and qualified in the techniques of abatement and the handling and disposal of asbestos, lead and PCB containing materials and the cleaning of contaminated sites. The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, services, insurance, permits and equipment to carry out the work in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 562910 with a corresponding small business size standard of $20.5 million. Interested bidders must be registered in the SAM at www.sam.gov. The FBOP is seeking small business contractors for this project. Your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above. Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by adding their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting on the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov (must be logged-in to your vendor account). The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instructions for responding to this opportunity.
