Description
The Air Force Life Cycle Management, Air Dominance Division, Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile (AMRAAM) Production and Sustainment Branch intends to increase the contract ceiling on existing sole source contract FA8675-15-D-0019 to Raytheon Missile Systems, 1151 E Hermans Road, Tucson, AZ, 85756 from $21.9M to $35M via contract modification under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This work includes providing materials, facilities, test equipment, engineering, and management services to support AMRAAM production and AMRAAM requirements in various areas of Systems Engineering (e.g. Engineering Studies and Analyses, to include: Flight Test Analyses, User Technical Support, and Non-Production Simulations Technical Support); Software (e.g., correction of deficiencies); Overall Flight Test Support (e.g., Flight Test (Field Team) Support, Overhead Field Team Support, and Test Asset Maintenance Support); and Logistics Support (support to missile inspections). The only known responsible source that can satisfy this requirement is Raytheon Missile Systems because they possess the required type of knowledge that can only be gained by years of experience in applying skills to the specific AMRAAM missile design, specific and detailed knowledge, and experience with AMRAAM software, missile design, special test assets and U.S. Government simulation facilities. The contract ordering period will end on 30 September 2019 with all work complete no later than 30 September 2020. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. Any capability statement will need to demonstrate how the source can provide a qualified AMRAAAM without subtantial duplication of costs. No Technical Data Package (TDP) is available.
