- Pre-Solicitation Notice Synopsis The Mission and installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is Issuing a PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE for a Request for Quotation (RFQ) firm fixed price construction contract to replace the existing split system in training classrooms at building 91019 consisting of an air-handling unit and a condenser. Work shall also include replacing all existing HVAC controls with new, direct digital controls and reinsulating all existing ductwork in the mechanical room at Bldg. 91019 on Fort Hood Texas. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) set aside under NAICS Code 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a Small Business Size Standard of $15.0 Million and PSC code of Z1AB- Maintenance of Conference space and facilities. The magnitude of this procurement is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing split system in building 91019 consisting of an air-handling unit and a condenser in the training Classroom Bldg. 19019. Work also includes all miscellaneous site work to support the facility and meet code requirements. The CONTRACTOR shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in proposed contract. All work shall comply with all State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this proposed contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood military installation at Fort Hood Texas The wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX 180279 07/06/2018 TX 279; Superseded General Decision Number: TX 20170279; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; County: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $750,000.00. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A tentative organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement with date and time to be determined (TBD). Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. The anticipated dates for issuing the solicitation is 20 July 2018 and completing contract performance 120 days after receipt of notice to proceed under solicitation number W91151-18-Q-0155. The Technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOpps) at website: https://www.fbo.gov No paper copies of this solicitation are available. Once the Solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to all documents.
