- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit - Providence, has a construction requirement to Repair Aids to Navigation (ATON) Structures at USCG Sector Long Island Sound. This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR Parts 14 and 19. This acquisition is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 Million. The Product Service Code is Z2BC, Repair or Alteration of Radar and Navigation Facilities. The estimated cost range of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The period of performance is 120 days. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 24 July 2018. The tentative date set for bid opening is 23 August 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Bids must be valid for a minimum of 60 days. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings may be accessed for download beginning on the date of issue on this website: http://www.fbo.gov (FBO.gov). Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted on this website (FBO.gov). Offerors are required to acknowledge with their bids any and all amendments. Vendors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management database through www.SAM.gov in order to receive a federal government contract. Base Scope of Work Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and disposal to remove and replace a harbor entrance light, and make repairs and upgrades at two additional breakwater lights. The lights are located at three different locations in Long Island Sound along the Connecticut coast. The lights are located in the vicinity of Black Rock Harbor, the Housatonic River Breakwater, and the Duck Island Breakwater. Demolition of concrete slabs and steel structures will be required. Additional incidental work includes the placement of additional rip rap and placement of new concrete. The location of work is in Long Island Sound. The nearest facility is USCG Sector Long Island Sound, New Haven, CT (New Haven County).
