Description
Ceramic Vacuum Capacitors Part Numbers THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), Office of Contracts (OMS/C) located in Washington, D.C. intends to negotiate and award a non-competitive Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Thomas & Betts Corporation. The anticipated contract term base will be September 30, 2018 through September 29, 2019, with one option year September 30, 2019 through September 29, 2020. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition that is applicable to this procurement is 41 U.S.C. 304(a)(1) which is implemented in FAR Subpart 6.302-1 as follows: "When the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source or for DoD, NASA and the Coast Guard, from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need to be provided for." The Office of Contracts (CON) at the BBG, plans to make an award to Thomas & Betts Corporation on a sole-source basis for High Power Vacuum Capacitors. Thomas & Betts Corporation is the only known source able to rebuild these transmitting tubes to work properly with the international shortwave transmitting systems located throughout the BBG broadcasting network. Interested firms must submit a written response that demonstrates their ability to provide the Rebuilt High Power Tubes listed in "Attachment A". Interested firms must state how they would comply with the Government's requirements to include appropriate supporting documentation. The written response received from interested firms shall provide sufficient detail to allow for an evaluation by the Government without the need for the submission of additional information. The written response must be submitted to the attention of Malita Dyson, Contract Support Specialist, via e-mail: mdyson@bbg.gov. Telephone or faxed responses are NOT acceptable and will NOT be considered. No telephone responses of an interested firm's statements of interest, capability and pertinent experience will be accepted by the BBG. Any questions regarding this Notice of Intent shall be in writing and submitted to the Contract Specialist via e-mail. Any determination to compete or not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. All writing expressions of interest shall specifically reference this Notice by its title and date of publication. This notice is not an RFQ, RFP, or an IFB.
