- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses with special interest in seeking: Small Businesses (SB); VA certified Service Disabled Veteran owned Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) small business concerns; and vendors who hold GSA/FSS schedules. No solicitation is being issued at this time. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030 has a requirement for Lithotripsy Services. Lithotripsy services necessary to support the urology section. These services will need to be provided for the duration of the new contract, which will begin October 1, 2018 as the base period in addition to four options years thereafter. These services include providing technical personnel that are certified and trained in Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) services and operation of the equipment units. The technician shall assist the attending Urologist and other physicians in the operating room and/or cysto suite in the MEDVAMC. The equipment must meet or exceed the following criteria: treats all stones anywhere in the urinary tract; has a greater than 80% success rate based on FDA clinical study data; is modular and can treat patients in the operating room/cysto suite; has the ability to do endourological procedures before and after ESWL without moving the patient. Such additional materials and supplies, including consumables, as are necessary to conduct ESWL. Maintenance of the devices to include service and preventative maintenance to ensure that the devices are in the highest level of functioning condition, with, as a minimum, maintenance performed at the manufacturer s manual requirements. Assist in the education of each facility s personnel as it relates to ESWL. Be responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses, approvals, permits and follow all federal state and local laws and regulations applicable to the devices and delivery of ESWL. Delivery of all reports, digital, film and file records of all procedures performed with the devices to the Contracting Officer s Technical Representative (COR). These medical records shall be the property of the MEDVAMC. The appropriate NAICS Code 621999 (Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services)General Medical and Surgical Hospitals) and the small business size standard $15.0M. Email statements of capabilities to corey.labbe@va.gov outlining your company's capability and provide the business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code. Your responses must be submitted by 10:00 am (CST) on Friday, July 13 2018. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to any future solicitation announcements.
