- SW DISTRICT HALLWAY FIX 2018 Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, Colorado State Office, Lakewood, Colorado has a requirement for repair of a section of the concrete floor slab at the BLM Southwest District Office building. Work shall include: ¿ Install temporary construction containment materials as required to restrict persons entering the construction area and to mitigate dust migration including protection of return air vents, use of extraction fans, and protection of all items in adjacent work spaces. Temporary wall to minimize noise impact to south work areas of the building shall be installed at south extent of work. ¿ Remove and dispose of carpet and associated materials as necessary, for the full length of the north hallway, approximately 4.5-feet wide by 77-feet long. Move furniture and partitions as necessary to complete the work. ¿ Sawcut, remove and dispose of existing concrete floor impacted by offset crack, approximately 50-feet long by 2-feet wide. ¿ Overexcavate and dispose of subsoils below concrete floor to 12-inches deep. ¿ Supply and place aggregate fill in area or overexcavated subsoils. Allow BLM to observe compaction of in place soils. ¿ Construct new concrete floor slab, dowelled into existing floor slab. Provide concrete testing to BLM. ¿ Furnish and install new carpet tiles and associated materials, including all labor, equipment and associated fasteners and materials as needed to complete the work. ¿ Move furniture that was moved for the work back to original position. ¿ Complete construction clean-up of all areas. Remove dust controls. Render the area ready for staff to occupy. A pre-bid site tour will be provided on July 30, 2018 at 9:00 AM local time. Vendors shall meet at BLM Southwest District at 2505 S.
