The purpose of this modification is to provide questions and answers for this requirement. Question 1. Is this contract quoted as a 1 man or a 2-man project? Answer: This requirement is intended for one qualified mechanic in accordance with the performance work statement and one helper. Question 2. Will the contractor be assisting the mechanic at Bay Pines Medical Center with service? Answer: The contractor may assist the mechanic at the facility. Question 3. Once the evaluation of equipment is complete, will all corrections be included in the contract or will they need to be billed separately? Answer: The evaluation of the equipment is to assess the most pressing maintenance that needs to occur and to allow the government to prioritize this maintenance. Assessment phase is included in the contract. Question 4. Will parts be covered by the Bay Pines Medical Center or by the contractor? Answer: Parts are covered by the government. Question 5. Will schedule of contractors on site time be able to be tweaked so that service and maintenance times can be optimized? Answer: A schedule will be agreed upon once award is made. Question 6. Does the contract need to be broken out into two parts, service and maintenance, emergency calls? Answer: The contract has the ability to order the service and maintenance as well as emergency calls. Question: Who dictates an emergency call? Answer: The government can order emergency services. The Contracting Officer or his point of contact determines what is an emergency.
