- Synopsis: This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice. THIS IS NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Department of Veteran Affairs, VHA, Rome, NY at 125 Brookley Rd # 510, Rome, NY 13441 is seeking qualified sources to furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment and supervision to provide a 60 month lease of a Cannon Printer/Copier - ImageRunner Advance C5535iG (see attached spec sheet) or equivalent. The purpose of this notice is to determine interest and capability of potentially qualified Small Business sources relative to the North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) 532420 Office Machinery and Equipment Renatal and Leasing. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this requirement, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement will also depend on the response to this sources sought synopsis. Description: Scope of Work: The company shall furnish a product Brand Name or Equal to the specifications listed in this Sources Sought notice in accordance with FAR 52.211-6. Salient Characteristics: The 500 page storage drawers should have a humidifier built in to prevent paper jamming For full bleed 11x17 capability, the unit should be able to accommodate full bleed on 12x18 size paper The copier should be able to accommodate (via drawers) up to 140# index/265gsm paper and via stack bypass, up to 300gsm/100# cover For security purposes- the unit should incorporate 140 FIPS security encryption and if ever open to other users, a uni-flow log in manager and have secure print/PDF for when sending documents from office. Ability to scan to WORD, PPT, PDF Physical size must NOT exceed: 25 wide, 30 deep Contractor must provide all maintenance/repair as well as toners, toner capture cartridge Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) phone, fax, and email of point of contact (d) DUNS number (e) provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below.
