PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #637-18-135S Upgrade Humidification Systems The Department of Veterans Affairs, Asheville, NC has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Project 637-18-135S Upgrade Humidification Systems for the Charles George Department of VA Medical Center (VAMC), 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville NC 28805. Estimated construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS CODE: 238220 Size Standard: $15.0 Million The below criteria are required to avoid the introduction of water into the duct work and / or the development of microbial growth in the ductwork, which would violate infection control protocol in B47 and ACA Operating Rooms: Factory Representative start up and testing proving the system operational when areas are unoccupied Self-cleaning titanium heating elements Fully modulating steam creation and usage from 0% to 100% of nominal capacity Set point modulation (dead band) to +/- 1% Heating elements must contain temperature sensors Anti-foaming system to prevent emission of droplets with the steam Modulating limit probe to prevent any condensation in the duct Stainless steel steam injection array Minimum 2 year equipment warranty This solicitation is anticipated to be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about July 20, 2018. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
