- Description
- Justification Clauses This action will award a sole source purchase order 2G Engineering, LLC, 2752 Capitol Drive Suite 103, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin to acquire 2G Engineering rotary actuators, associated cabling, and a custom control panel (plus the engineering design services to design the panel) to provide an upgrade of the capability of the unmanned diving operations inside the unmanned hyperbaric chambers at NEDU, per attached clauses and justification as follows: 1. Two (2) 2000 Series High Torque Rotary Actuators, Custom Shaft with ¼ inch through hole, Black Anodized Aluminum, Analog Control, 6-pin micro connector, product # 000RHT-X1856-ALK-6M 2. One (1) Navy Experimental Diving Unit Dual Actuator Control Panel, product # G000257 3. Two (2) 30 foot whips, MCIL6F with locking collar to unterminated wires, product # G000258 4. Shipping for all items to NEDU, 321 Bullfinch Road, Panama City, FL 32407 This acquisition is conducted under FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The equipment is being acquired as new equipment to meet testing requirements of unmanned diving operations at NEDU. Manipulation of certain components of diving equipment while testing under pressure is critical for collection of the data points required to fulfill NAVSEA testing requirements. The 2G Engineering, LLC system requested is the only equipment compatible with the current installed hardware and software control systems. In summary, using alternate equipment would prove costly in time and dollars to the government and to the mission. Use of another system may change or introduce new parameters that may be harmful to all diving systems tested and maintained at NEDU. Therefore, it is imperative that this particular brand of equipment is purchased. Est 26500
