Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), has a requirement to purchase two (2) brand name Mindbreeze Inspire Search Appliances. The ERDC intends to issue an award to ONIX Networking Corp., 18519 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107-3212, on a sole source basis. The Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) has an existing Mindbreeze InSpire search capability that requires additional capacity. The search appliance provides enterprise knowledge management capabilities by indexing and aggregating content across the ITL. The Mindbreeze InSpire Search Appliance fully satisfies the ITL requirements by extending the capabilities of the currently deployed search infrastructure. Mindbreeze InSpire is the only search appliance that can extend the currently deployed infrastructure and meet all the capability needs. The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). The NAICS code for this requirement is 511210 with a size standard of $38,500,000.00. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The information submitted must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the vendor's ability to fulfill this requirement. The contractor must also provide a description of their past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references for each. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to traci.k.hoofman@usace.army.mil. The solicitation number shall be included in the subject line of e-mail submissions. Responses must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. CST on July 10, 2018.
