Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. This is a Sources Sought announcement seeking Small Business responses in order to determine possible Small Business participation in the anticipated acquisition. The 633d Contracting Squadron (633 CONS) intends to obtain non-personal services for Complete corrosion/control and a complete paint of the staircase truck used on the flight line, located at Langley Air Force Base. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811121 Automotive Body, Paint, and Interior Repair and Maintenance with a corresponding size standard of $7.5M. Interested parties must be registered under NAICS 811121 in SAM (System for Award Management) at www.sam.gov, formerly known as CCR (Central Contractor Registration). The Government plans to consider all information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The contractor shall provide all services, parts, labor, material, paint, sealers, supplies, decals and items necessary in performing a complete corrosion/control and a complete paint of the staircase truck (04C00409). The contractor will sandblast vehicle as needed, remove all decals and markings. Surface will be free of defects i.e... runs, sags, and texture (orange peel)" all defects are to be corrected by contractor upon inspection prior to acceptance at no additional cost. The paint work will be done as per manufacturer recommendation the contractor shall measure existing vehicle markings and create artwork file for production. After paint complete the vehicle and safety marking, to include warning labels as per original truck specification will be replaced, base and wing logos do NOT need to be replaced. In regards to bodywork, the contractor shall remove the staircase truck side panels and all rust and corrosion. The under panels of the vehicle shall be sealed to include all seams and all step seams as a means to prevent rust. The contractor shall sand and prep cab and bed, seal truck with bare metal sealer, provide and perform a complete paint (all white) to include the cab with door jams, bed complete, wheels and frame. Performance will consist of a one-time service on the vehicle. The Government anticipates making award in July 2018. The Request for Quote (RFQ) release date is to be determined. Quotes may also be solicited orally or by email. Please note: It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fbo.gov for all subsequent postings. A Statement of Work (SOW) will be attached or sent to interested vendors at the time of the RFQ. This is not a formal Request for Quotes (RFQ), and no contract will result from this notice, nor does it commit the Government to any acquisition for these services. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package (limited to no more than 3 pages total) outlining your company's key business abilities relevant to the performance of this requirement. Hard copies of documents posted on FBO will not be made available. IF A SOLICITATION (RFQ) IS ISSUED IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER DATE, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
