Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Contracting Office is seeking sources for four hundred seventy five (475) disposable Patient Repositioning Sheets for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. In accordance with 38 USC 8127(d) Veterans First Contracting Program, and VAAR 852.215-70 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Veteran-Owned Small Business Evaluation Factors, this solicitation is an SDVOSB set-aside. Only offers from contractors listed as SDVOSB on the VETBIZ website will be considered. Per FAR 6.302 2 Urgent and Compelling Urgency, this is an urgent request for safe patient handling. In the past few months several patients and staff have been injured so the contractor will be required to deliver the entire order within 30 days of award. In accordance with Veterans Health Administration Directive 1611 Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Program, the Patient Repositioning Sheets must be rated for 1000 lbs. and the end user requires a sample of the Patient Repositioning Sheet to test the breathability of the material, compatibility with the mechanical lifts, and map pressure points for moisture accumulation. All contractors that are being considered for award will be required to ship one of their Patient Repositioning Sheets to the Program Coordinator of the VA Long Beach Safe Patient Handling & Mobility Dept. for evaluation. The Patient Repositioning Sheets must be 84 inches long and 42 inches wide, made of 10% cotton and 90% polyurethane blend, compatible with Guldmann s GH3+ and Hill Rom s Likorall ceiling lifts AND Hill Rom s Golvo 7007, 8008, and Viking XL floor based lifts, able to be used on a 2 point or 4 point hanger bar, and have loop style slings. All offers are required to include a picture of your Patient Repositioning Sheet with your offer. This picture is an example of the requirement: All offers must be emailed to bryan.boggs2@va.gov by 1200 noon PST on Friday, July 6th, 2018. No late offers will be accepted.
