- Description
- This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with 3-1 year Options for NOUN, Tool, Rigging - Ramp Locking Mechanism; NSN: 492001529036BA; Part Number 17G110640-1. The Basic is for Qty of 3 each (includes first article), Test Plan (1 LO), and Test Report (1 LO). The 3-1 year Options are based on Qty range of 1-2 each. The C-17 Aircraft Cargo Ramp has 22 latch hooks (11 on each side) that require an over-center alignment in the latched position. This over-center alignment allows each 17P3A1702-501 and 17P3A1703-501 hook to properly engage a latch spool and maintain a locked position. The spools are mounted on the Fuselage Jamb structure on both sides of the aircraft. The locking mechanism requires an over-center condition of 25 ±.06" between the Bell-Crank 17P3A1777-503 and link 17P3A1778-1. This dimension is obtained by fully extending the 17B3E3001-1/2 Actuator and adjusting the Rod End MS21151-8. A means is required at the organizational and depot levels of maintenance to interface the ends of the connecting Link Bolts in order to verify the required over-center alignment of the Cargo Ramp Locking Mechanism. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFQ. All responsible Small Business sources may submit a proposal to be considered by the contracting agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), Excluded Parties List System (EPLS), and other Government databases to determine contractor status before evaluating proposals. Proposal will be evaluated based on criteria stated in the RFQ. We anticipate release of the RFQ on or around 17 July 2018 with an estimated response date of 16 August 2018. The RFQ and all attachments will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/). If you have questions or concerns related to this acquisition, contact the Contracting Specialist at email kathleen.fowler.1@us.af.mil; telephone 478-327-7120. All data for this weapon system is considered EXPORT CONTROLLED.
