- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Tuberculosis Research Section (TRS) intend to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with University of Cape Town, Lovers Walk, Rondebosch, South Africa, 7700 to provide on-going support for data and testing of the Biomarkers to Predict TB Treatment Duration Project in Cape Town, South Africa. The Biomarkers to Predict TB Treatment Duration Project is part of an on-going study on Tuberculosis. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by the FAR 6.302-1 only one source available. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. All responsible sources who can perform the requirements of this follow-on action may submit their capabilities via email (subject line to reference NIAID-NOI-18-1907460) to Tonia Alexander at talexander@niaid.nih.gov, by 3:00 pm eastern standard time Thursday, July 12, 2018. All responses received by the closing date of this solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
