Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the DESIGN-BUILD Cath Lab HVAC Construction at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center located in Augusta, GA. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Design/build services will install a new HVAC system for the New Cath Lab Room 3C-143 renovation project at the Charlie Norwood VAMC. The new system will be in conformance with the Cardiovascular Laboratory Service Design Guide criteria dated November 29, 2011 and the Cardiovascular Laboratory Service Design Guide criteria with a revised date of April 15, 2016. The contractor is to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, design, and construction services necessary to complete the design and subsequent construction of the project. This work involves the complete design build and installation of a fully functioning HVAC system including, but not limited to the equipment selection, permitting, bonding, installation. Design/Build Services should adhere to all needs regarding specialize construction in this area including methods of work to assure the continued operation of the medical center. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36.3 Two-Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 with a size standard of $15 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about July19, 2018. The period of performance is approximately 90 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to Lauren.Brauer@va.gov.
