Amendment 4: Question 1: Do you want us to leave the frame or remove it? Answer: Leave it. Question 2: Do you want to keep the doors or are we responsible for disposing of them? Answer: Contractor is responsible for disposing of doors. Question 3: Will the sprinklers above the walk-ins need to be modified? Answer: No. Question 4: How high do we need to make the trim above the walk-in? Could it terminate at the bottom of the lowest duct? Answer:Trim shall terminate at bottom of lowest duct. Question 5: What are the requirements for the concrete slab or rack for the condensing units. Answer: Prefab concrete slab. Question 6: I reviewed the updated drawing and I am still not seeing a height for the cooler. Please advise. Answer: Interior of cooler shall be 8'. Question 7: What monitoring system are you requiring? Answer: See Specifications. Question 8: Are you requesting that the new monitoring system will be monitored by Siemens the current campus wide alarm company? Answer: Yes. Temperature shall be monitored by Siemens system. Question 9: Are you requiring pads for the condensing units? Answer: Yes. See Amendment 4, Question 5. Question 10: What size and material of pad for condensing unit? Answer: Prefab concrete. Size to overlap condensing unit 6" and have chamfered edges. Question 11: The lights that are being raised are they to remain energized? Answer: Lights are to be removed and replaced by wall mounted LED lights (2 total - equal to Lithinia TWR LED Die-Cast Wall Pack, LED Outdoor Rectangular. Question 12: Do temps need to be in Celsius on read outs? Answer: Yes. Question 13: Will there be any modifications in the floor? Drains? Answer: No. Question 14: What type of shelving will be used inside the unit? The depth of the shelving will determine where the door should be placed. Answer: There will be no shelving inside the unit. Question 15: Do they need shelving, or have a lay out of what they want. Answer: There will be no shelving inside the unit. Question 16: Will there be any floor covering applied to the concrete slab? Tile or composite? Floor covering has to be completed and set before we can work on top of it. Answer: No. Question 17: How thick are the blocks on the East Wall? Answer: Approx. 16". Question 18: What temp is the food going into the units? Answer: 3 degrees Celsius for Refrigerator, -25 degrees Celsius for freezer. Question 19: Is any of the food stored in bulk? Answer: No. Question 20: Please confirm the electrical for cooler. If three phase do you want freezer three phase and cooler Single phase? Answer: 3 phase. Question 21: Is it ok to run feeder conduit down in mechanical chase between labs first floor to mechanical chase in basement area? Answer: Yes. Contractor must coordinate with COR. Question 22: Remove existing doors to 26-B167, Are we to remove just the doors or doors and frames? If we are to remove frames do you want any type of finishing done to the wall? Answer: Door shall be removed. Frame to remain. Question 23: Are we going to be responsible for Demo of the old freezer in building 6? Answer: No. Question 24: Will commissioning of the electrical circuit be by the contractor or will that be the responsibility of NCTR or is 3rd party required by contractor or NCTR? Answer: Commissioning will be done by NCTR.
