Description

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 605-17-417, Legionella Prevention System. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Loma Linda VA Health Care System (LLVAHCS) has a requirement for the construction of facility wide Legionella Prevention. Work includes, but is not limited to Prevention of Healthcare associated (HCA) Legionella Disease through proper hot water (HW) distribution, temperature control and monitoring; water quality and pressure monitoring of potable water entering each building. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. The Statement of Work (SOW) further defines the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit; date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the solicitation when posted. All offerors are strongly urged to attend. Due to anticipated response and limited space, please limit the number of attendees in your group. Contractors shall contact Michael Banks. Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Site Visit. Requests, in the form of an e-mail message to michael.banks6@va.gov, be received by the Contract Specialist prior to the scheduled site visit. Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. The Loma Linda VA Health Care System (LLVAHCS) Facilities Management Service Department requires a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, qualified supervision, engineering, and services for facility wide Legionella Mitigation. This notice is issued by NCO-22 Gilbert, Located in Phoenix Arizona. However, work be performed at the following VA facility: LOMA LINDA VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (LLVAHCS): VAMC: 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357 This construction project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $15M.   The resulting contract will be a firm fixed construction contract. The period of performance of the contract is intended to be 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with no options included. The anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project, in accordance with VAAR 836.204 is projected to be: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in June, 2018. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted.
