Description

**ALL FIRMS ARE INSTRUCTED NOT TO CALL THE INDIVIDUAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION. ** CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 605-16-601, Replace Main Storm Water Drain and Vent Piping. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Loma Linda VA Health Care System (LLVAHCS) has a requirement for construction to replace the main storm water drain and vent piping system. Work includes, but is not limited to: labor, materials, tools, equipment, qualified supervision, engineering, and construction to Repair major underground storm, sewer and aboveground vent lines through relining. Contractor shall perform all preparatory work, including construction of bypass lines and temporary pumping system to maintain the hospital operation during the process. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit; date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the solicitation when posted. All offerors are strongly urged to attend. Due to anticipated response and limited space, please limit the number of attendees in your group. Contractors shall contact Michael Banks. Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Site Visit. Requests, in the form of an e-mail message to michael.banks6@va.gov, must be received by the Contract Specialist prior to the scheduled site visit. Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. The Loma Linda VA Health Care System (LLVAHCS) Facilities Management Service Department requires a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, qualified supervision, engineering, and services for construction to replace the exterior, main storm-water drain and vent piping. This notice is issued by NCO-22 Gilbert, Located in Phoenix Arizona. However, work be performed at the following VA facility: LOMA LINDA VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (LLVAHCS): VAMC: 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357 This construction project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction (Drainage Project Construction). Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $36.5M.   The resulting contract will be a firm fixed construction contract. The period of performance of the contract is intended to be 180 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with no options included. The anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project, in accordance with VAAR 836.204 is projected to be: Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in June, 2018. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN WHAT IS NOTED HEREIN.
