Description

**ALL FIRMS ARE INSTRUCTED NOT TO CALL THE INDIVIDUAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION. ** CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 691GE-16-115LA, Replace Fire Alarm System. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center (LAACC) has a requirement for the construction to replace the facility wide fire alarm system. Work includes, but is not limited to: the replacement of all fire alarm equipment, devices, and associated conduit and wiring. Work includes electrical conduit and wiring to provide power to Fire Alarm Panels. Existing riser conduits shall be used as much as possible. The existing new fire alarm system shall be removed. A new fire alarm system shall be installed. Primary skill trades are high and low voltage wiring.   Secondary skill trades include, but are not limited to dry wall installers and painters. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit; date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the solicitation when posted. All offerors are strongly urged to attend. Due to anticipated response and limited space, please limit the number of attendees in your group. Contractors shall contact Michael Banks. Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Site Visit. Requests, in the form of an e-mail message to michael.banks6@va.gov, must be received by the Contract Specialist prior to the scheduled site visit. Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. The Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center (LAACC), Facilities Management Service Department requires a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, qualified supervision, engineering, and construction to replace the facility wide fire alarm system. This notice is issued by NCO-22 Gilbert, Located in Phoenix Arizona. However, work will be performed at the following VA facility: Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center (691) 351 East Temple Street West Los Angeles, CA 90012 This construction project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $15M.   The resulting contract will be a firm fixed construction contract. The period of performance of the contract is intended to be 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with no options included. The anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project, in accordance with VAAR 836.204 is projected to be: Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in June, 2018. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN WHAT IS NOTED HEREIN.
