- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price contract for Medtronic s StealthStation S7 System and Fusion System technician services to Medtronic Sofamor, 1800 Pyramid Place Bldg A, Memphis, TN 38132. The anticipated contract period of performance will be for a one-year base period - August 1, 2018 through July 31, 2019, with four one-year option periods to be exercised at the Government s discretion. The Medtronic technician shall provide coverage for Deep Brain Stimulation cases, some Intracranial Tumor cases, and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) cases that require the use of the above mentioned systems.to the beneficiaries at the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BVAMC), 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, AL 35233. The BVAMC requires the services of a qualified Medtronic technician to include, but not limited to, assisting in the programming, operation, and troubleshooting of the equipment during the above mentioned surgical procedures. An average of six (6) cases per month are performed at the facility. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), this contract is being awarded to Medtronic as the only responsible source available to satisfy agency requirements. The applicable NAICS code is 621999 (All Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services), with a size standard of $15 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any responses received will only be considered for future purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of sole source contract described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large) and DUNS Number. 2) Provide a Statement of Capability that demonstrates the offeror's past performance in providing this type of service.
