Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, has a requirement for measurements of neurotransmitters (Glutamate, GABA, Acetylcholine and Adenosine) by ultrasensitive Liquid Chromatography-Tandom Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) in 5 µl samples of microdialysates to support various research projects. A valid sole source justification exists. The proposed vendor, Charles River Laboratories, Brains On-Line possesses the unique knowledge and highly specialized skills and equipment required to support the research projects. A fixed price IDIQ contract lasting for 5 years is anticipated and shall be awarded.   It is the Government s belief that only this vendor, located in San Francisco, CA, possesses the required capabilities and highly specialized skills and equipment required to successfully meet this requirement.   It is the Government s intention to solicit and negotiate only with this source.   This is not a solicitation; it is notice of intent to sole source a requirement. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline (June 1, 2018) shall not be considered.   The submission of any data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned.   The Government does not intend to pay for information gained as a result of this notice.   This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
