Description

All employees will be relocated Saturday through Sunday, 4-5 August 2018 with preparatory efforts being conducted during work days prior to the personnel relocations starting not later than 16 July 2018. 1.Contractor to furnish all material (containers, labels, etc), labor, and equipment for the relocations. Material to include delivery of stackable, sealable, plastic containers (not less than 3ft3 in volume) for employees to pack their personal belongings and records. Eight (8) containers per person are planned as well as additional containers to move central records (3,700 total; details in Section 4). Other necessary materials include enough packing material (for example, bubble wrap) to protect approximately 600 computer monitors that will be moved within the provided moving containers. 2.Contractor will be responsible for delivering 1,200 containers not later than Monday, 16 July 2018 and delivering the remaining 2,500 containers not later than Wednesday, 25 July 2018 (see below for delivery details). The Contractor will then be responsible for removing 80% of the containers (2,960 containers) no earlier than Monday, 13 August 2018 and the remaining 20% of the containers (740 containers) no earlier than 27 August 2018. NAVFAC employees are responsible for filling and emptying containers. Al l containers will be pre-affixed with labels, provided by the Contractor, and NAVFAC employees will be responsible for marking the labels with name and cube/office number theyre being relocated to. Floor plans and list of employees names will be provided to the contractor. a.Container delivery: Monday, 16 July 2018 i.Building 135: 498 containers ii.Building 903-1: 412 containers iii.Building 903-2: 290 containers b.Container delivery: Wednesday, 25 July 2018 i.Building 135: 796 containers ii.Building 903-1: 996 containers iii.Building 903-2: 708 containers 3.The relocation will be primarily between buildings 135 and 903 (approx. 0.4 miles), between floors within 903, and one employee (and his respective files) moving from 135 to 103 (approx. 0.4 miles). See attached map (Attachment 1) showing entrance locations and distances. a.Building 135 is a single story building with a ramp leading to the main entrance. b.Building 903 is a three story building with a ramp leading to the primary entrance. Only the first and second floors are part of this project. There is a single elevator, as well as stairs, available to move containers between floors. The contractor will be aware of, and not exceed, the 3500lb elevator weight limit as well as protect the elevator walls from damage. It should be noted that the elevator takes approximately 20 seconds to travel between the first and second floors. c.Building 103 is a single story building with multiple at-grade doors on the parking lot. 4.The contractor will relocate boxes as follows: a.From Building 135 to: i.Within 135: 22 employees (176 boxes) + 0 additional boxes = 176 boxes ii.Building 903, 1st Floor: 64 employees (512 boxes) + 156 addl boxes = 668 boxes iii.Building 903, 2nd Floor: 11 employees (88 boxes) + 282 addl boxes = 370 boxes iv.Building 103: 1 employee (8 boxes) + 72 additional boxes = 80 boxes b.From Building 903, 1st Floor to: i.Building 135: 64 employees (512 boxes) + 225 additional boxes = 737 boxes ii.Within Building 903, 1st Floor: 30 employees (240 boxes) + 6 addl boxes = 246 boxes iii.Building 903, 2nd Floor: 29 employees (232 boxes) + 193 addl boxes = 425 boxes c.From Building 903, 2nd Floor to: i.Building 135: 30 employees (240 boxes) + 92 additional boxes = 332 boxes ii.Building 903, 1st Floor: 45 employees (360 boxes) + 200 addl boxes = 560 boxes iii.Within Building 903, 2nd Floor: 12 employees (96 boxes) + 10 addl boxes = 106 boxes 5.Contractor will relocate the following furniture items as follows: (See Attachment 2 for a representation of the sit/stand desks) a.From B135 to B903, 1st Floor i.6 sit/stand desks b.Within B135 i.1 sit/stand desk c.From B903, 1st Floor to B903 2nd Floor i.4 sit/stand desks ii.4 filing cabinets d.Within B903, 1st Floor i.3 sit/stand desks e.From B903, 1st Floor to B135 i.8 sit/stand desks f.Within B903, 2nd Floor i.4 sit/stand desks g.From B903, 2nd Floor to B135 i.6 sit/stand desks ii.4 filing cabinets h.From B903, 2nd Floor to B903, 1st Floor i.2 sit/stand desks ii.1 small office table 6. Government representatives will be onsite during the move to assist with any problems.
