Description
Q&A The following questions have been submitted in response to this solicitation, answers are provided below: Q1: Host Ethernet Support (Platform J) interface - the MIDS JTRS terminal does not support the platform J interface. What capability is envisioned here? Is just the support port interface required? A1: The MIDS JTRS terminal will be used with the Platform A configuration. The support port is required. Q2: Is there a specific 1553 vendor's PC interface requested? There are multiple implementations of the PC 1553 interface that can be provided. (Ethernet, PCI, PCIe) A2: The 1553 interface shall be compatible with the laptops proposed. Q3: Will a functionally equivalent switch and cable be acceptable for the control plug? A3: Yes. Q4: Is a variable speed blower required or desirable for the cooling tray? A4: The cooling tray blower is not required to be variable speed. Q5: There is a requirement for a RPS power cable to have the opposite end pig tailed, would you desire us to mate it to the 1U Power unit and test as a system prior to delivery? A5: Yes. Q6: I do see that a transit case is not required for this task, however, if an integrated solution is proposed would be it be deemed technically unacceptable ? If the price for an integrated solution is less expensive than the discrete items listed should we propose that option as well? A6: The equipment will be used in a standard lab environment. A transit case is not required, but may be proposed.
