- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE W15QKN-18-X-02D2 This announcement should not be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. This RFI release is for U.S. Government planning purposes only and constitute requests for exchange of information pursuant to FAR 15.201. The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) and Product Manager Crew Served Weapons (PMCSW) is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources to supply Remington Arms 24979 M870 Modular Combat Shotgun with all applicable accessories that make up the weapon system. Description of Remington Arms M870-24979 For the purposes of this sources sought notice, the M870-24979 is defined as follows: One (1) M870 Receiver 18' 'duty' barrel w/ Rem Choke Magazine tube extension +3 Long Magazine spring (for 14' and 18' barrels) Barrel Accessory Rail System (BARS) for use with the 14' and 18' barrels Improved choke (IC) Tactical sling Removable fixed length Speedfeed ® pistol grip tactical stock Choke wrench Operator manual The M870-24979 is a configuration of the standard M870 Modular Combat Shotgun that removes the 10' and 14' barrels and several other components from the standard offering of the MCS system. In Responding to this Sources Sought Notice, respondents should provide the following information: 1) A brief summary of your company's capabilities, including a description of its ability to meet the above-mentioned weapon system and accessories and delivery capabilities to CONUS locations. 2) All interested sources shall provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number,, e-mail address,, DUNS number, and CAGE Code. Company size (please identify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business under the applicable NAICS Code 332994. This Sources Sought Notice is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY and should NOT be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice.
