Description

This is a list of prime contractors that met the minimum standards for prequalification. ***FOR SUBCONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITIES ONLY*** In accordance with the solicitation process identified in Sources Sought Number W91238-18-S-1618, dated 13 April 2018, the following is a pre-solicitation notification to prospective subcontractors. Reach I Contract 1 Levee Improvement Construction Project The Government anticipates issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to the contractors on the Prequalified Sources List dated 18 May 2018, with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for the Reach I Contract 1 Levee Improvement Construction Project. Scope of the Project Description: The Natomas Basin Reach I Contract 1 is located on the reach of Natomas levee adjacent to the American River in Sacramento, California. Reach I Contract 1 includes installation of approximately two miles of cement-bentonite cutoff walls between Gateway Oaks Boulevard and Northgate Boulevard, mostly centered on Garden Highway. The cutoff walls will have an average depth of 45 feet. Excavation spoils will be hauled to a site identified herein to be spread and compacted. A landside drainage blanket will be installed on the levee slope underneath Interstate 5. Relocation and/or removal of waterlines, sanitary force mains, and other utilities will be included in this contract. Multiple lane closures, road closures, and bicycle trail closures are also included, requiring traffic control, detours, and signage for both vehicles and pedestrian/bicyclists. Repaving and striping of roads and trails is also included. The prime contractor shall self-perform 100 percent of the cutoff wall effort. In accordance with DFARS 236.204(i), the estimated magnitude is between $10M & $25M. This proposed contract action will be conducted using FSC Code: Y1LC, Construction of Tunnels and Subsurface Structures and North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS): 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the small business size standard is $36.5 million. The IFB is estimated to be issued on or about 6 June 2018 with bids due tentatively on 10 July 2018. The IFB will be issued to those prime contractors on the Prequalified Sources List established on 18 May 2018 who positively respond to this notice and expressly indicate an intent to bid. Note that expressing an intent to bid does not require a prequalified contractor to submit a bid. Prime contractors can review this notice to identify subcontractor teaming opportunities. The only PLAN-HOLDER'S/BIDDER'S LIST now available is attached to this notice. When viewing the Synopsis/Pre-solicitation Notice, you will click on the 'ADD ME TO INTERESTED VENDORS' to enter your information. This function does not, however, allow you to identify yourself as a Subcontractor.
