- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes as outlined in FAR 15.201(c) (7). The purpose of this RFI is to accomplish market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, and to identify businesses interested and capable of performing the services described herein. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, FERC is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, in no case shall responses to this notice be considered either a response to a solicitation or a submission of an unsolicited proposal, as defined by FAR 2.101.It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC or Commission) is developing a Statement of Work for professional verbatim reporting services and desired input from interested parties. Respondents are requested to provide their Corporate Capabilities Statement and address the following questions: 1. For public meetings where access to the transcripts is not time sensitive, and therefore purchasing the transcripts is not expected by the public, how would you propose to address the difference between services outlined in Sections A vs B. 2. Will you be able to travel to locations outside of the Washington, DC area? 3. Please provide your ability to provide video depositions on short notice. Under this SOW, the Contractor will have the exclusive right to sell copies of the transcripts as defined in Attachments 3, and 5.
