All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7 is seeking sources to provide Emergency Department (ED) Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner) services for beneficiaries of the Emergency Department at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904. This is on-site staff augmentation with VA and Augusta University Employees within the emergency room. No resident medical training is anticipated under the contemplated contract. The contract providers shall provide ED services that meet or exceed the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants guidelines(https://www.sempa.org/Resources/PAs-in-the-ED/) and the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners http://aaenp-natl.org/images/downloads/aaenp_scope_and_standards.pdf The estimated award date of contract is Summer 2018, with an anticipated one-year base period of performance, plus four (4) one-year option periods. An estimated 8000 hours of coverage will be required annually. Shifts may vary between 7am-4pm, 9am 5pm, 10a 6pm, and 5pm 1am, Sunday through Saturday. The applicable NAICS code is 561320 Temporary Help Services (size standard $27.5 M) If the VA does not locate/obtain 2 or more qualified providers in response to this announcement, we anticipate awarding a non-competitive contract to Augusta University IAW VA Directive 1663 for these Healthcare Resources. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, DUNS number, and business type, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Small Business, etc. as defined by the applicable NAICS. A statement of capability and relevant documentation demonstrating successful past performance in providing the aforementioned services (5 page limit).
