- Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 is conducting a market survey for firms capable of providing Linen Transportation. The Contractor shall provide transportation to include drivers, to pick up and deliver clean linen and soiled linen to and from Department of Veterans Affairs textile care facility located at 179-00 Linden Blvd & 179th Street, St. Albans Queens, New York 11425 to various locations including New Jersey and upstate New York. Deliveries must be made between 2:00 a.m. - 7.00 a.m., on the scheduled week days to each facility throughout the week, including all holidays, and an empty trailer must be left at all locations to be used for soiled linen storage. The contractor will be required to make emergency deliveries to all facilities within three (3) hours of notification including 3rd shift hours. Driver and tractor must be available during each work day (7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) at the St. Albans laundry to move around trailers in and out of the docks for loading purposes and for delivery of linen to any delivery points as required. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 484110 (General Freight Trucking, Local) and the standard size is $27.5 million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is V119 (Transportation/Travel/Relocation-Transportation: Other). All responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email: charnell.cunningham@va.gov) and must be received not later than May 31, 2018 at 10:00AM EST. Interested parties shall provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities (resumes), DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time may not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 484110. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
