- Description
- SPE603-18-R-5X18 is issued to identify the Contractor responsibilities for the period of performance that will be identified in a future solicitation or applicable contracting documents distributed by the Contracting Officer. The Contractor will be responsible for the laboratory testing of government-owned petroleum products in accordance with the standards as described herein, transportation of samples from specified locations to laboratory, third party witnessing and sampling (surveyor) of petroleum storage tanks/vehicles/vessels/barges/pipelines. Government-owned products located outside the service locations in section C-1.0.1 can be shipped to the contractor's laboratory for testing; however the contractor will not provide transportation unless requested by DLA-Energy separately. The Europe Region is defined as the following countries: Ireland, Sicily, Turkey, Spain, and Africa. The following are products, which are utilized by DLA Energy and its customers that may require testing, at the contractor's facility, per the requirements set by DLA Energy. Contractors should become familiar with all of the product specifications listed below and develop operating procedures and/or checklists to allow their technicians to perform the proper tests and complete the tasks as requested per the order and in a timely manner. All referenced material can be obtained at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/ or https://assist.dla.mil/ or by contacting Contracting Officer, Contracting Officers Representative and Quality Assurance Representative. 1) Aviation Turbine Fuel, Grade JET A and JET A-1, NATO F-35 (Specification: ASTM D1655, DEF Stan 91-091, latest versions) 2) Turbine Fuel, Aviation, Kerosene Types, NATO F-34 (JP8) (Specification: MIL-DTL-83133, latest versions) 3) Turbine Fuel, Aviation, NATO F-44 (JP-5) (Specification: MIL-DTL-5624, latest versions) 4) Fuel, Navy Distillate NATO F-76 (Specification: MIL-DTL-16884, latest versions) 5) Gasoline, Aviation, Grade 100LL (Specification: ASTM 910, DEF STAN 91-090, latest versions) 6) Turbine Fuel, Aviation, Thermally Stable, Grade JPTS (Specification: MIL-DTL-25524 latest version) Note: Some locations provide the above products which meet locally established specifications. If the U.S. Government is in receipt of any of the above fuel grades with local specification(s), DLA Energy will provide the contractor(s) the local specification and the test method(s) required if requested.
