Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE REQUIREMENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, for the deliverables outlined below. The associated NAICS code for this is 334516. The size standard is 1000 Employees. The vendor will be Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. The Contractor shall provide the deliverables to: Indianapolis VA Medical Center Molecular Section, Path & Lab, Room A-2059 1481 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN 46202 Requirement is for brand name supplies. The Microbiology/Molecular section seeks to purchase an AutoBlot 3000H IVD Strip Processor to perform Hepatitis C Genotype testing. A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses shall include: (1) Business Name and Address, (2) FSS Schedule, (3) Point of Contact Name, Phone Number and E-mail Address (4) DUNS and NAICS code (5) Business Size (6) Type of Business SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED, VETERAN OWNED, 8A, HUBZone, WOMEN-OWNED etc. Responses shall be submitted to Michael Iffland, Contract Specialist, at michael.iffland@va.gov no-later-than Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 4:30pm EST.
