- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract for a project entitled "Puget Sound Bangor Waterfront Operations" at the NSWCCD in our detachment in Bangor, Washington State. Work shall be on a 50' Workboat and a Range Craft Barge (RCB) owned and operated by the NSWCCD. Any potential offerors shall have a facility within a 60 minute commute time via auto and the facility shall be within 35 nautical miles from the southern end of the Naval Base in Bangor, WA. A Request for Quotation, N0016718Q0066, shall be issued on this FBO website on or before May 27, 2018. This announcement is unrestricted for competition among qualified offerors. The applicable NAICS Code is 336611 with a business size standard of 1,250 employees. The RFQ, N0016718Q0066, will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulations. Solicitation documents will be available for viewing and down loading at the FBO on or before 5/27/2018. The NSWCCD is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, and supervision necessary to accomplish this project. The Workboat requires the following services: •- Haul out and pressure wash the 50' Workboat •- Conduct Non-destructive Testing (NDT) below the waterline •- Prepare and paint the under-hull per paint specifications provided in Appendix A •- Remove D-rubber, prepare and paint the freeboard per specifications provided in Appendix A, reinstall D-rubber The Range Craft Barge (RCB) requires the following services: •- - Haul out and pressure wash the RCB - Conduct Non-destructive Testing (NDT) below the waterline - Prepare and paint the under-hull per paint specifications provided in Appendix A •- Remove D-rubber, prepare and paint the freeboard per specifications provided in Appendix A, reinstall D-rubber A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offer who submits the lowest technically acceptable bid. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation. Fees for hazardous material disposal, electrical power, and up to 30 days of storage for the vessel while work is being performed shall be included.
