Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The scope of this project is to provide for the renovation and expansion of three (3) existing operating rooms and associated adjacent spaces within the third-floor surgery suite in Building 801 in order to meet the latest codes/requirements and/or recommendations from the VA Design Guides. This work shall be completed in phases and include approximately 7,250 SF of existing space to be renovated within the current surgery suite. All work required will be in accordance with drawings and specifications, and include general construction, demolition and alteration of existing construction, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, hazardous material removal, relocation of sterilization and hospital equipment, utility systems, necessary alteration of existing structure, and certain other items. LOCATION OF PROJECT: Augusta VAMC, 950 15th St, Augusta GA 30901 ESTIMATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 545 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority under Public Law 109-461 (38 U.S.C. 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be a small business under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and verifiable at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. Offerors MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate, complete and have not expired prior to proposal due date. NAICS CODE: The NAICS code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5M. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities web-site only. The tentative date for posting the solicitation documents to www.fbo.gov is on or about June 30, 2018, with proposals due approximately 30 days later. These dates are only tentative. The solicitation will have specific dates, times, and locations for a site visit and proposal submissions. This requirement will result in a firm-fixed-price contract. Dissemination of the solicitation, specifications and drawings is limited to electronic medium only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation and for notifications of updates by registering at www.fbo.gov. An Offeror's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. ***This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice only. A Solicitation is not available at this time. *** SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies of amendments will NOT be issued.
