Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to Award an option where a negotiated sole source award for a 12 month base and (4) annual option years for preventative maintenance and support services for the following equipment at the VAMC Connecticut: A1Rsi MP Scanner Module S/N 30420, Controller and Detectors LU4A Four Laser Fixture S/N 60525 488nm Laser S/N LDP.1116052.133693 562nm Laser S/N LDP.1170380.501013 640nm Laser S/N L94176922 408nm Laser S/N P06081103 Detector Unit S/N 55430 Spectral Detector S/N 66134 NIKON INSTRUMENTS INC. located at 1300 WALT WHITMAN RD FL 2, MELVILLE NY 11747 is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this equipment. Due to their proprietary technology, they are the only vendor that will be able to service these machines as the Authorized Service Provider. Since the intent is to procure these services on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 811219. The FSC/PSC is J065. The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2).
